Spring 2012 Workshop to Take Place in Provence

Got Watercolor Wanderlust and want to go globetrotting with me this Spring 2012? We are going to Provence in Southern France for a workshop May 3-10, 2012. HotelThis is the area that  inspired  Renoir, Picasso, Matisse, Cezanne and Van Gogh  so we will find much inspiring scenery to paint here  too. This workshop is all levels and a great place to begin painting.

We will stay in a restored farmhouse and work in our own studio with a view of the gardens. Dinning We'll paint and sketch in the lovely places we visit and have daily art lessons in our studio. We will also take day trips to explore nearby hill top villages and market towns and  shop for antiques and ephemera as well as local produce, shoes and linens. Our breakfasts and dinners will be prepared by a gourmet chef with local ingredients and of course if you like, you can sip local wines.

The cost for one week's workshop will be $2,350.00 + your share of our group's rental car. Airfare, lunches and shoe purchases are not included in the tour price. Sept 8 - 14, 2012 … Travel Painting Workshop . . . Finally, Your Chance to Stay in a Villa in Tuscany!
Live in a villa for a week in the heart of the tranquil hilltop village of Montisi.  Relax in this elegantly decorated villa, complete with professional kitchen, garden with incredible views, and a swimming pool.  Enjoy daily watercolor and drawing lessons that will teach you the skills necessary to record the extraordinary Tuscan landscape. Sketch with pen in a journal as you sip a cappuccino in a café and enjoy the scent of warm bread as you stroll thru the village at a leisurely pace.

Visit neighboring towns, museums and shops.  Dine on natural food right out of the garden and savor local Tuscan foods while you sip delicious local wines served in the town’s restaurants. View fresco paintings on the walls of Monte Olieveto Abbey and listen to Gregorian chants.  Enjoy gourmet picnics and sketch the landscape which is home to Italy’s most prized olive oil and wine producers.

Enjoy the company of fellow artists as you learn new painting and sketching techniques or bring the skills you already have to a new level. Feel free to bring  non- painting spouses and friends as well.  Cooking lessons and shoe shopping are optional. The cost is $2,500 per person in a double occupancy room (single rooms available for an additional fee), all meals but two, and tours and escorted travel from Florence.  This price does not include airfare.
